About Tæla

Tæla Eco makes school, sport and workwear that a child can wear every day and a school can account for. Natural and recycled materials, made to last, and traceable back to the field they came from.

One company, four paths

Tæla Eco is the parent brand behind EcoKids for schools, EcoSports for clubs and teams, EcoCorps for organisations, and EcoCore, the traceability platform that runs underneath all three. Behind them all sits Earth I Curate, the company we started in Spain to do this properly. We are registered in Girona, Catalonia, and we work with schools across Europe.

Traceable, not just claimed

Every garment we make carries a permanent identity you can reach by scanning it. Behind that identity sits its production lot: the materials it was made from, where they came from, who made them, and the certificates that stand behind each claim. Where we cannot evidence something, we say so rather than reaching for a warm word.

Built to come back

A uniform is outgrown long before it is worn out. Ours are designed to be handed on: a returned garment keeps its full history while the previous family is removed from the record, so the next child gets a garment with a known story and no one else attached to it.

The founder

Anne-Claire Albregts

Founder & CEO, Earth I Curate

I have spent more than twenty years in fashion and textiles, most of it thinking about material: how it is grown, how it is made, and how it behaves against skin.

None of that prepared me for my own son reacting to his school uniform. The fabric was rigid, synthetic, and chosen because it was cheap and it lasted. I knew enough to know it did not have to be that way, and not enough to explain why nobody had fixed it.

So I set out to fix it. During the pandemic I studied circular economy and sustainable strategies at Cambridge, and the idea took shape: a uniform system designed with the students who wear it, made from natural materials, and traceable from the field to the day it is handed on. That became EcoKids, and then Tæla Eco.

The children have a voice, and we want to hear it. That is not a slogan. It is how we design.
