Tæla Eco works toward five of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Each one below sets out what that means in practice for the way we design, make, repair and recover uniforms.
Goal 4 Quality Education
Through our workshops and educational resources, TAELA ECOKIDS helps children, families and school communities understand the environmental impact of clothing. We make circularity practical by teaching garment care, repair, reuse and responsible disposal, building the knowledge and skills needed for more sustainable lifestyles. Here the seeds are planted for the next generation to grow a better sustainable future.

TAELA ECO values the skilled people behind every garment. We work with makers, repair specialists and textile-recovery partners while promoting craftsmanship, responsible working practices and longer-term relationships throughout our supply chain. Repair and recovery also help preserve valuable textile skills and create opportunities within the circular economy.
Read Goal 8 at the United NationsGoal 12 Responsible Consumption and Production
Circularity is central to TAELA ECOCORE. We encourage longer garment life through durable design, thoughtful care and repair. Our take-back and recovery approach helps school uniforms remain in use for longer through reuse, redistribution, repair and, when a garment can no longer be worn, responsible textile recycling and fibre recovery.
Read Goal 12 at the United NationsGoal 13 Climate Action
TAELA ECO supports climate action by challenging the disposable linear approach to school uniforms. Extending garment life, avoiding premature replacement and promoting lower-impact washing, drying and repair habits can reduce unnecessary resource use across a uniform’s lifecycle. We also use education to help school communities connect everyday clothing choices with wider climate impacts. We offer complete transparency across our entire circular supply chain.

A circular uniform system depends on collaboration across the ecosystem. TAELA ECOCORE brings together schools, families, manufacturers, repair specialists, textile recyclers and community organisations. By sharing knowledge and coordinating collection, reuse, repair and recovery, we can create practical solutions that no organisation could deliver alone.
